CEO Frank Barrett reflects on group success on World EV Day
On World EV day, we have taken the time to reflect and celebrate advances in e-mobility and our achievements so far. It has proved a timely reminder of how proud I am of the recent hard work and progress our talented teams have made in the EV arena both in the UK and overseas.
By harnessing the combined strength and experience of the various Woodall Nicholson brands, and working in partnership with leading OEMs, we continue to challenge convention, setting the standards in the markets in which we operate.
Indeed, ever since the conception of the Mellor Orion E – the world’s first ‘size appropriate’, low-floor, zero-emission small bus – Woodall Nicholson’s vehicle brands have brought to market a number of e-mobility solutions with innovative all-electric and hybrid drive technology such as the demand-responsive Pico, the Tesla-based, all-electric Wisper and Binz.E Hearses, with more to follow for the blue light market.
These new technologies and products are emblematic of the Group’s drive to constantly innovate, to future-proof the business, and to enable our customers to deliver upon markets which demand ever greater environmental responsibility.
Frank Barrett, CEO, Woodall Nicholson
